God, that whole part where JD had to leave Sandra and her crew alone to die was just beautiful. Morals change in crisis. The last part with JD fixing Dr. Cox's gunshot wound was bittersweet and I loved every word of it.
Also, if you continue, you have at least one guaranteed reader (though I would guess that the numbers are definitely higher than just one). I missed this story lots, so yays that you updated.
Oooo. The bit where they left the people in the school to die was so sad. Now, the bit at the end, Dr.Cox was looking at JD like he was a stranger because he'd just woke up right? He's not a zombie, right? Cos Zombie!Cox would be very cool, but not good.
I recently read a book called "World War Z" which was a superb zombie book, and this is totally in the same tone. It's eerie, and dark, and creepy, and normally I don't do the whole "hopelessly depressing plotline" thing, but this just has me totally hooked. Know how I know? I definitely teared up once. I'll leave you to guess where. Looovely job.
