I don't make a secret of my hatred for spam mail, and it's not a hatred which is confined to electronic mail. I'm one of "those people" who happily uses the prepaid envelopes companies generously provide me with to send them leaflets from their rival companies... or themselves, if no others are close to hand. It wont stop them sending me stuff,

Is "postage-paid envelope" even a common phrase? It sounds akwards which is why it was the highlight for me in that letter. :)

I believe so... maybe not in Germany, but it's quite common in the UK. It refers to an envelope which comes pre-addressed with the postage already paid by the company, to encourage you to send stuff back to them.
