I'm a bit confused by the politics here given that Great Britain is known for being quite progressive. See, I kept thinking that was a cover for him being unwilling to say the *real* reason they'd be after him. It was kinda the elephant in the room the entire time, and it was never addressed.

Yeah, I made a few edits after MSN! Thanks a bundle! :D But to clarify, that's why he's going back to Great Britain, where his tradionalist family is long dead and the society's a lot more liberal than the country where this all takes place- Thailand+US+Japan? I hope that thing with the homosexual politics didn't take up the whole writing though- I was trying to concentrate on the story of a boy being faced with himself and growing up.

That is so sweet! But Silver's personality strikes a nice balance, so it's not cloying or sugary. I love Silver and his small epiphanies~ and of course it's nice to see a "character-of-the-day" who has an actual effect. ;)

Quite timely too, even though sexuality wasn't the real focus, considering what just happened in America. I'm in California and I was quite...surprised...

In other news I have to imagine that their cellar is extremely lush and would be very comfortable to live in.

Thank goodness!! Silver really isn't like a sweetheart type character in the manga, and I wanted to keep it true to his character, what a cold little soul. Oh! Character-of-the-day indeed, now that you mention it!

Hah! One of the influences- I was looking at what other people were thinking and I was shocked at how much some people just hate-hate-hate! Hah. Even though it wasn't the focus, I'm glad you notice it! In this short story thing, I put outside-social-norm (homosexuality) as something that society hates more than nearly destroying the natural world.

And I bet so! ^.^ Warm, dry, and has lots of food.
