New buses

Lothian Buses has recently introduced a new fleet of buses with Volvo B8L chassis and Alexander Dennis Enviro400 XLB bodywork, and on 27th May, 2019, I had my first opportunity to travel on one. A bus is a bus and bus-travel is never going to be very speedy or comfortable, but these new buses do look quite posh internally.

Those are quite chic. Must be a nice area if they’ll risk it with cloth bus seats 😆

I think the seats in all of our local buses are covered in that moquette or a similar one. I happened to see a video on the design of train seating on YouTube today which said that material of that kind is pretty difficult to cut into, so it's fairly vandal-resistant. I've also seen some videos on American buses, and they do look a bit more spartan and less stylish than ours.
