Even if you take it at face value, it doesn't exactly sound inspiring. "Edging" implies a slow, difficult and barely-successful process.

I think they were trying for a play on words re: the department being based in Edge building. Being me, what I got from it was a play on words re: orgasm-denial kink. Um.

Could they not have gone with something like "on the edge of success"? Sometimes I think our marketing people are being crap on purpose. Like the Have Your Say tagline being something like "maintaining your participation". Right, yes, that's very catchy and exciting.
