A small fishing boat in the Firth of Forth off the East Braes, Kinghorn, on 31st August, 2015. My mother reckons the lady in the boat is Val McDermid, the crime author, and I think she may be right.

A herd of seals basking on a rock at Seafield, near Kirkcaldy, on 31st August, 2015. This seems to be a favourite spot of theirs.

A stormy sky over Kirkcaldy as I approached along the shore on 31st August, 2015. I'd planned to do a few circuits of the Beveridge Park but thought better of it, although my decision was somewhat influenced by the hole in the arse of my breeks which was chafing on the back of my leg with every step.

This stormy sky hardly changed during the time I was in Kirkcaldy on 31st August, 2015.
