100 Historical Things, Number 8

I've been talking a lot since I started these posts, and I thought I would have a bit of a break from that in this post. Instead, I'd like to ask anyone who's reading this some questions. I'm interested in hearing what you have to say whatever your background in history is, and whether I've known you for ages or hardly at all (indeed, this would be a nice way of finding out the interests of anyone who has found my journal just through this meme). Feel free to answer some, all or none...

1) What is/are your favourite period(s) of history?

2) What is/are your favourite work(s) of historical fiction (book, poem, film, TV, whatever)?

3) What first got you interested in history?

4) Are there particular periods you would like me to write about? (I reserve the right to say no if I don't know much about it!)

5) Are there particular theoretical topics or other ideas that you would like me to write about?

6) Do you have an idea for a post you could write about, on something you know about or are enthused about? Because I think it would be quite nice to have some guest spots, where another user provides the content and I either post it here or link to their post in their own journal.

Over to you!
