Aha, thank you for that link. I don't know the episode at all because it comes in the middle of my gap between the series I saw as a child and the older ones I've caught up with - but come to think of it, I think my friend who's doing a classical archaeology PhD might have mentioned it to me at some point...
One thing that bothered me: did the coward guy (ah, David Walliams, I thought he looked familiar) eat the fish? Why? Why did the Dr make Amy take them out of the hair salon room?
Yes, what was all that with the fish? I didn't think about it again afterwards, but at the time I just didn't have a clue whether the goldfishbowl was significant or not. I wonder whether it really was insignificant, or whether they'll pick it up in a future episode in an unexpected way... I guess you never know with Dr Who!
Would be just like Dr. Who to explain the fish relevance NEXT season when I've forgotten all about it and am wondering why everyone keeps mentioning the fish foreshadowing in "The God Complex."
No offense to James, but Craig cracks me up. Craig by himself would probably annoy me, but Craig + Doctor is enough to soothe my anticipated Rory withdrawal.
Yes, Craig + Doctor I think works extremely well. OK, I guess it's the Doctor who's making me laugh most of the time with that combo, but still. I thought their episode last series was brilliant.

And, interestingly, one of the Doctor Who books I read as a child in Sarfrica.
