Catch-up

I have so so much to post about - there's the experience of being a Director of Studies at Homerton, and how awesome Magdalene is, and so so many TV things as well (Spooks, Law and Order UK, Merlin, George Gently, Ask Rhod Gilbert...). As soon as I can, I promise.

In the meantime, have a grumble (also mascarading as TV news):

- Sarah Jane is ( Read more... )

whitechapel, comedy, rhod gilbert, tv, spooks, law and order uk, merlin, george gently

What's a fangirl to do?

Panic!

I'm going to be away just when all the shows I watch are coming back, lots of catch up for me when we return.

I'm livid over the Spooks/Whitechapel clash - mostly for the sake of a third series of Whitechapel, because this one almost didn't get made, in spite of its brilliant viewing figures. Putting it up against Spooks of all things (which has been recommissioned for S10 already) is only going to spoil its ratings - especially when it's so much harder to avoid Spooks spoilers. Both have repeats, at least - which also clash...

Yay, SJA!

There should be a repeat of Have I Got News For You?, which is generally an extended version, probably on BBC2 on Saturday or Sunday night. The Cumberbatch sounds so excited about doing it, too, for which I love him all the more.

Hope your little Classicists are settling in well and your furnishing fiasco is fixed!

The repeats clash? I can't believe they're doing this with two brilliant shows. I mean, maybe ITV's Monday nights haven't been doing so well, but it just doesn't make sense putting Whitechapel up against Spooks. *wants to hit TV schedulers*

By my calculations, the episodes of SJA with 11 in should air on 27th and 28th October, IIRC. (Meh, why did I arrange a supervison that day??)

Oh oh oh, extended version - why didn't I think of that? :D

The flat is looking much more furnished now, thank you! :)

The repeats of the recent Monday night 9pm dramas on ITV have been overlapping with the Spooks repeats so far, so I'm guessing it's going to happen with Whitechapel, too. I WANT TO WATCH THEM BOTH TWICE!

Yay! That's going to be adorable. Not so yay for your scheduling, though. Can you ask leading questions to see whether supervisionee is a fan and might want it moved, too?

You were having a fangirl panic. It's entirely understandable, bb.

Huzzah!

Hmm, maybe I could just move the supervision without consultation... There have to be some perks to being the boss *lol* :)

Ooh, thanks for the HIGNFY reminder! Shall have to record it or watch the extended one later, as I'm off to see Agamemnon at the Arts that night, which I am also a fangirl of ;)

I'm struggling to find a day when I can actually manage to see Agamemnon, but I really want to! I still haven't actually turned up to a Greek play. I think that makes me quite a bad classicist!
