On the subject of Pirates, did you know that there's an ETA for the fourth movie? I kept meaning to have a search, and today I did so, and of couse Wikipedia has all the information hereIt's going to be called 'On Stranger Tides', and should be filmed from this June onwards, with a currently predicted release date of 20th May 2011. Yarrr to that

I'm kind of disappointed that Will and Elizabeth's story is going to end there... with the Fountain of Youth storyline, there was real potential for changing their situation. :-/ I really think Jack, much as I love him, works better as a supporting character than a main character, so I'm not sure how this will go.

Not to say I won't love it; I'm sure I will, especially if they've got Rossio and Elliot returning as the writers. But I'm not sure about the idea.

Oh, that's a really good point! I never thought of that. Yes, I think they could really work well with that. But I think Keira Knightley said she didn't want to do any more Pirates, and Orlando Bloom also said he wasn't signing up (which he surely could have done if he wanted to given that he spends all but one day every ten years out at sea and having nothing to do with Elizabeth anyway...). I guess it's probably best they don't change actors, but it's a real shame.

Yes, I've got to agree there. I really hope we get to see more of Barbossa and his motives and history - that could be interesting and give a main strand to things... plus Geoffrey Rush is a top actor... but I don't think they'll put his story before Jack's :/

I love their relationships with Jack - hard to see the story without them though I'm willing to give it a shot.

Yes, this was my thinking! ;) I don't see why Will can't hang out in the Davy Jones role without Elizabeth needing to be around.
