Happy Birthday Dr Who!

Nov 23, 2009 17:52

Today in 1963, the first ever episode of Dr Who, starring William Hartnell, was aired. So happy birthday Dr Who!

To celebrate, I'm going to have a quick muse about some of the Doctor's recent relationships...

I was under the impression River Song is making an appearance in the final episode(s) - not sure why I think that, maybe saw it in passing somewhere - I've been trying quite hard to stay spoiler free.

Yeah, the entire fandom seems to be scratching its collective head about River Song. Methinks I saw a filming picture where she was in one of 11's first episodes...

No, it was Numair/Daine. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you never will, because it's one of those series of books you really need to enjoy while you're a teenager.
Been there, done that. The Immortals quartet was probably my favorite out of the Tamora Pierce books that I read. Although I never understood Numair/Daine and I probably never will... It was just kinda "oh, Daine needs a man. What male characters have we introduced into this series? Nobody but Numair. Oh crud, well, he'll have to do." imo.
