Ewwwwww!

I was just cleaning and polishing my Mum's thimble rack, and I discovered a fat little spider sitting happily behind a thimble in a thick web (in a hole that can't be more than 1"x1" and filled with the thimble) and two juicy ladybirds ready to feast on. Ewwww ( Read more... )

I suddenly had a vision of Doyle calling Bodie in the middle of the night to get a huge spider out of his bath
See, I totally imagine it the other way around - Doyle would rescue it and take it safely to the garden if he found it, but... Actually, there was a fun Bodie-with-spider icon around a couple of years ago - I've not seen it for ages, though...

ZOMG that is nightmarish. O.O We've been having a lot of spider issues here lately (including, apparently, a couple of nests of wolf spiders that decided to take up residence in the kids' playhouse out back-- we have not been in the back yard since my husband made that discovery), and I am TOO disgusted for words! *shudders, runs and hides*

*does not understand this disgust people have at spiders whatsoever* We have an enormous one in our bathroom. I call her Mavis. She's cute.

Somewhere among the earlier stories there's one along those lines -- not a spider, I think -- a silverfish or centipede perhaps?

Spiders don't bother me, but I don't live in a region where they bite people, or I'd probably be less benign. It's those big waterbugs that give me the creeps, though I know they are essentially harmless (though unhygienic if they get into the garbage and then go walkabout).

I can't, honestly, see Doyle being intimidated by any such.
