So did I! I am actually quite upset that there doesn't appear to be a way of accessing Puddle Lane books on-line, as I was trying to remember some of the plots the other day and utterly failing :(
I don't think they are still in print, more's the pity - I had a look for them on the Ladybird website (or whoever owns them noww) back when I was researching, and it looks like they've moved out of fashion. Which is Very Sad, but in some odd ways, nothing ages as quickly as children's books.
I don't know if we still have ours - I might have to ask Mum and Dad!
Edit: and because I am a total GEEK I just checked eBay, where I am delighted to see that such favourites as The Sandalwood Girl and The Wideawake Mice are available for purchase at a reasonable price.
Tale of Two Cities makes me weep like a fool every time *g*, and you've reminded me I've never yet got around to actually reading The Liar, though there's a copy in this house. Somewhere *g*
What I meant to say about A Tale of Two Cities is that the film version with Dirk Bogarde is brilliant - always makes me cry. I like a book/film that makes me cry *g*
