Christmasography (with Dr Who review)

Dec 26, 2007 11:38

Well, I do love Christmas. My Christmas Day this year was marked by eating too much roast dinner (two types of meat accompanied by many, many different vegetables) and then being absolutely unable to eat for the rest of the day (I was feeling sick anyway due to what the doctor reckoned was 'proper flu' - my lungs are suffering too, but since I'm ( Read more... )

I really liked the Doctor Who special (I *just* watched it, 2 minutes ago).

Mr Copper (aka Richard Bucket) had a degree in Earthonomics (not Earthology). Preusmably the shot that the crewman took wasn't as bad as the captain had hoped (I always find it odd that in the future / more advanced civilisations have such rubbish guns! [still, it is Who...]).

I wonder if we'll see Rickston Slade again... not as a main character, but as someone in the background of some dastardly scheme.

I just wish they'd kept Rose, I thought she was an ace (no pun intended) companion ^^;

I am very unhappy that there are only 3 episodes coming in 2008 :'( Are you unhappy too?

Oh yes, you're quite right. I knew Earthology sounded wrong somehow.

Rickston Slade

It would be interesting, but they made it sound as though he'd served his purpose - i.e. he was there to make the point that the Doctor *shouldn't* be in a position to choose whom he saves. *shrug*

Oh, is that 2008? I thought it was 2009, following a proper series in 2008. Well, I'm sure you're in a better position to know stuff anyway, what with me only having 5 minutes of spod right now!

If the episodes are vaguely feature length, though, I wonder if that might be a good thing. Though it's a shame to not have it every week :(

P.S. Bad pun. I mean that as a compliment ;)
