I think Midsomer Murders has picked up a bit and has acquired a life of its own. It should stop some time but as reality and sense were never highly necessary I think it can role on a while yet and ITV haven't a lot of other things I watch! Abner
I do think Midsomer Murders has a certain quality - I suppose, because of the nature of the programme, at least every episode is a fresh story with different actors, and it's very easy to fall into a habit of watching it and then not mind that two hours have passed and you don't care too much who did it :)
You're definitely right about ITV hardly having anything else worth watching (except that I love Emmerdale, of course). I do believe there will be some Foyle's War soon though, and I love that.
