In my case "speak" is perhaps overoptimistic. I understand(or understood) the languages to a level typically above GCSE, but I'm not sure how good I would be at speaking right now. Especially French, because I keep thinking in Spanish by accident! I can cope with films in those languages, and will point out where the translated subtitles differ from what has been said, given half a chance!
*Fingers crossed*, I should have an AS level in Spanish quite soon (I don't think it went so horribly wrong that I will have failed, but you never know!)
Oh, and I find it quite interesting that, despite the fact that you are to the best of my knowledge British, you have only included one British language!
(For the record, I took Welsh classes for a year and a bit, though I'm really extremely rusty now!)

It's all wonderful and logical. And lets me bullshit my way through reading Spanish and Italian.
Sadly, I can't speak it that well any more, because I've forgotten a lot of vocab, but I can still read it pretty well.
