Help! (RTW) (please!) (tech)
As you know, I've been playing Rome Total War. In the last few days (i.e. a few days after I started playing) it's developed a strange phenomenon. After playing for a very short while, it starts... sort of flashing. There are rays of what seems like mixed graphics radiating out from the centre of the screen (a bit like a seam in computer graphics when you e.g. turn a corner in certain types of game, only lots of them). It happens on the campaign screen, the battle screen, the menu screen... and it gets so intense that you can't see what you're doing properly. Obviously, I can't continue to play like this.
Please help if you can by answering the following questions...
1) What's causing it?
2) Can I fix it?
3) If so, how?
I'm worried I may have to take it back :/
Edit: I just tried playing again, and this time the graphics completely scrambled. First the same problem reported above, then the continents went a funny colour, then everything became skewed and there were clearly bits of another screen competing for attention with the campaign screen (the view I was using when it got bad). Soon I couldn't see anything, the cusor scrambled and I had to close it down forcibly. Um? Help?
Please help if you can by answering the following questions...
