Toph outright laughed at the girl. If she wasn’t especially nice to the Avatar, of all people, why would she be nice to her?
The girl- Princess Powerful, she called herself- was tough, Toph would give her that. And even though the Princess wasn't an earthbender, she somehow caught the huge boulder Toph launched at her and simply tossed it aside. She was more impressive than even Twinkletoes on his best day (except when he went all glowy, of course). That’s when Toph realized something, the girl wasn’t fighting back anymore. Maybe the so-called Princess was trying to help like she claimed. Toph didn’t ease out of her stance, but she did stop and wait.
Toph sensed the girl approach. She was a tiny little thing.
“Done chucking rocks at me?”
“Maybe,” Toph shrugged.
“You’re not from around here, are you?” the girl asked.
Toph narrowed her eyes, she wasn’t sure where here was. As far as she could tell the earth below her feet felt the same, but everything else was different. The air carried an ( ... )
