Yeah, I'm totally in agreement. Besides if that shit got passed as law then where would it stop? I'm sure there's lots of rednecks out there who'd want women set back to the 1800's or worse. If it's a belief issue then the courts should back the he.. off the separation of church and state is to protect the state from radical views of the churches. Abortion is a personal issue and a medical one. I'm not in favor of capitol punishment unless the proof is iron clad they are guilty. but I also believe it should be added to dangerous repeat sex offenders and pedophiles. But here's another one. I am a firm believer in ones right to die. If you are facing a long, uncurable debilitating and slow death then you should have a right to die before you're existing in nothing but a suffering state. the same goes if one is brain dead and being kept alive. the choice should be the spouses, then the children if of age and there's no spouse, and lastly the parents in that order, nobody else.
Awww... :( Reading about your sister in law made me sad. I hope she's able to adopt. (Which I know has a TON of issues and troubles associated with it, making it nearly impossible for a lot of people.)
Thanks for your comment :) Her and my brother are pretty much waiting for her kidneys to fail, then about a year after she gets a transplant they can start trying.
I'm in with Debu in sorry about the way things are going with your sister. I work in a hospital so I kind of get to see a lot of these things. If they're waiting then I've been told a lot of people will store their blood because it's like already a perfect match before big operations and the rest gets donated. But I've got no idea how the health care works in Austrailia. (Hope in spelled that right.)
