I think the only people that actually look good in bathing suits are models. And that's mostly because of the airbrushing. And the good lighting and whatnot. :-P

I know I'm not pleasing to the eye in a bathing suit...but I have a nice "skirt" wrap that I can wear with my swimsuit. cover-ups are good.
