Depends on what calculation you use.

155 for 5'10" is probably very close to "ideal" according to many charts. But the ranges can be pretty broad.

At 6', supposedly my optimum weight range is between 140 and 184 lbs or so. Were I to actually get down to 140, I would imagine I would look like a rescued POW.

The chart I use lists 144 - 180 for 5'10" men, depending on frame size, with 151 - 163 being the target range for an average frame.

I won't get angry with you, if you simpy answer a few questions:

Is this a class? Where are you taking it? When? How much? Is the class full? TALK! Talk, damn you, or I'll force-feed you lasagne and chocolate malts!!!

Hee hee...

Yoga is a class that I am taking through my gym, which is Bally's in Wheaton. It is included in my gym fees, so now the $50 or so a month actually seems reasonable.

The instructor that teaches on Tuesday and Saturday is GREAT, very nice man, relaxed, but still encourages us to go pretty deep and get what we need from the yoga.

The Thursday instructor, her I do not like so much. She does a more "workout" kind of yoga / pilates mix, and goes a little too fast for my tastes. I apparently like to "soak" in my various poses for a little while.

I doubt I will make many more Saturday classes until the winter, but I stil try to go Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I get a guest pass once every three months, you want in?

Well first off, %*&$ E! :)

As for the weight loss, well you're workin' hard for it so that makes it more OK. But still, bite me. >:)

If you're working out regularly, your body will lose 10-20 pounds pretty quickly, but then you should start to gain muscle weight. No worries 'til then!

Two things... ajhawkinsjr September 14 2007, 21:26:36 UTC
I want a tee shirt which says

"Suck it Jesus"

on the front and

"This Shirt is my GOD now"

on the back

Also I think there was something about your being worried you were looking too much like a carved marble sex god. But I was busy sweating while I eat to read it all.
