Hair today...

What is hair? A lovely fashion accessory. Proof of our mammalian nature. It's been stiff, curly, crazy. Even the lack of hair, to be bald, makes a statement about a person.

Random semi-related fact: white hairs occur when the stem cells living in the follice die. So those half black/half white ones immortalise the moment they lost another stem cell niche. :O

It's depressing when you think about how much time and money a person could spend on dead cells. >_< I'm convinced the hairs on arms and legs are as useful as appendices (i.e... not XD)

I hadn't known that! Oh science, is there anything you can't make meta? (or horrifying?)

The time spent on dead cells is boggling. Careers have been made and broken on those things. XD Someday maybe we won't have to deal with it at all.
