15: I hope that when I have children, I have the good sense to not give them everything they want (but still give them enough).

14: Tonight, in honor of Thanksgiving, I made turkey sandwiches, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing from a box, and creamed corn from a can. I felt like quite the little chef (the whole thing took maybe 10 minutes).

13: Today I found the area rug of my dreams, but it was $300. I am not slapping down $300 on a rug when we could probably buy a nice little couch for that.

(We're moving in to our house this weekend, and I'm sooo excited! Well, the only furniture we have to move is a bed, desk, and a little bookshelf, so it should be an easy haul.)

12: Canadian Thanksgiving is in mid October.

10: I'm heading for the airport in about an hour and a half, and I'd almost forgotten how much I dread flying. Please pray for me if you think of me today.

09: Tomorrow I become an official permanent resident of Canada. I flash my passport with the immigrant visa, sign some papers at the border, and voila! They'll send me a permanent resident card in the mail, and then I can work and get healthcare. Sooo excited!

(Also, I get to see hubby. :3)

07: Speaking of metaphors, my mom has been mixing them a lot, lately. Today she said her tutoring students were "canceling like flies." Okay, these moments are the ones that have us laughing until we cry.

06: I thought I was doing childcare for the women's Bible study at my parents' church tonight, but a sign on the door informed me otherwise. So I have a couple of extra hours that I didn't plan for, like small diamonds secretly hoarded.
