Aaand now the holiday card to my grandmother has come back 'undeliverable'. I think I'll just save some time and assume she's also died-and-no-one-told-me, given we've been expecting that to happen for years now. [ETA: Ah, yes, Mum's found a scribbled 'deceased' under the 'undeliverable' sticker. As I say, no more than I'd have expected really.]

I can almost see where this might have developed into this particular clusterfuck through sheer bad timing, because out of that entire side of the family those were the two people who had the most idea that I ever existed in the first place, but still, you'd think that somebody at the funerals might have put their heads together and come up with "...And has anyone told R's kid?" We invited them to his funeral, after all... (I have, or at this rate possibly had, another aunt and either one or two uncles who were his half-siblings, and you would think one or other of them would have at least remembered me from then, if nothing else...)
