- Had a job interview last week. Went well, learned some things, sent a thank you card. I know that she had a lot of interviews, she told me how surprised she was with the amount of resumes she received. It sounds like a cool job, lots of data entry, phones, supporting various departments and nifty benefits. I'm crossing my fingers ( Read more... )

You sound like me. I have how many characters I could do something with, but I don't know what to do with them so I do nothing. Though, the idea of letting Ichigo's memories from before get wiped clean is tempting.

Well, you can do what you want and I think it would be awesome if we could work it into some type of plot things (maybe Aizen's stealing memories with his magical taco cart! *shot*), but Ishida would be sad.

Yeah, the news anchors over here are calling it a "snowicane", which is just as lame as the other words they like to make up around here, like "thundersnow". Ah, I miss living in Vernon sometimes, because they actually know how to plow up there! They do one pass here, somewhat in the middle of the road, and only one (!) lane on major roads! Two days after the fact you still can't drive anywhere because the roads aren't clear...it's very sad. Neighborhoods don't get plowed by the town--you need to hire someone to do it, which usually means it's some guy with a plow attached to his pickup. Be glad you live in ski country!

Well, the plowing has gone slightly downhill lately, as they took out the street sign with the last storm, plus Dad and I were wondering why they were driving through residential streets at 40 MPH after it'd been snowing all day, but at least they plowed.

I am! I'm a just amused about how much the local media blows everything out of proportion. From the way the newscasts are, you'd think no one has seen a nor'easter around these parts. It's news when a tornado goes through Wantage, not when we get a snowstorm.

Man, I'm just catching up on the Simmons' fail at the moment. I doubt I'll see any copies of that in the store but if I do, I'm sending them back ASAP. 8| What the shit.

Yeah, that seems to be pretty much everyone else's reaction about it. I know that some people were talking of torrenting it (because fuck if anyone wants to pay for that, people would rather spend their money on the real things), if only to go through it and see how much of it was copied.

It does give you a good sense of how fandom can band together to prevent someone from getting away with it, you know? I almost feel bad for the company that made it, as it was most likely a "HEY WE CAN GET BIG WITH THIS BIG NAME" only for it to be a freaking hack tracer. 8|a Small companies might not have the staffing to check it - but then again, any fan would take one look at it and know the Bleachness...

I'm glad it does look like the company seems to be taking a step up and addressing it somehow - but time will tell?

From what we've seen, he's apparently ripped off BLEACH, Hellsing and various others. I'm just glad to see that all the companies involved are taking the fans seriously enough to at least look into it (the company themselves have all the issues of the comic on their site with a 'notify me' button).

I can see poses, sometimes it's very very hard to get a pose how you imagine it in your head so you use references. But then there's references and then there's tracing entire panels and making your characters look like Old Man Yama!Kenpachi and Bad Dye Job!Orihime.

I hope so. At the very least people will realize that fans will call them out on their bullshit if they catch it.
