You nailed something I thought they did quite well in-show, humanizing the hero. It's so easy to focus on the persona that public figures present, and forget about the normal, flawed person they are (until the tabloids pick it up, anyway ;)).

That's one of the reasons I like this particular rendition of Robin Hood - he's a hero, but he also had flaws. It makes for a more interesting character. :)
