“And to think I said it was impossible,” Allan said, grinning. Will stood beside him, buffeted and roughhoused by the winds, consumed by the reality of the vast, grey, troubled sea below them and in front of them and beating so furiously at the base of the cliff. “But here we are. I’ll admit it was a good idea.”
Will had never known anything like it. It was the antithesis of Sherwood. Wild wind, wild water. “Scarborough,” Will whispered, and let the wind whip it away from his lips and drown it in itself, whirling away over the scrubby grass.
