Fan Mail from a Soldier in the Mid-East

Okay, I don't post here often enough. I also don't tear up easily. However, I just received this message from an American soldier in the mideast, and it kind of got to me. I'm growing to love ebooks, and the idea that he could still read this novel from, like, 1997, pleases me no end. That he took the time to write, pleases me even more ( Read more... )

I am currently re-reading Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser and when I get done with Lieber's originals, Swords Against the Shadowland is next on the list to re-read. I remember one scene [spolier alert] where the twain end up having to fight thier adversaries using each others' swords. It was was so obviously funny one wonders why Lieber never though of it. Glad you did.

Tina, the soldier contacted me electronically, and I responded with email. I don't think that counts quite as an "autograph," but that's a great thought.
