So as you guys know I've been desperately trying to get on the rock boat, and now that Im sooo close to going (I found someone with an empty spot and a 26 yr old in the cabin acting as the guardian) I dont know what to do. I reeeeally want to go, but I DONT want to ask my parents ( Read more... )

While I think going on the Rock Boat is an awesome, awesome opportunity, I think you need to tell your parents that you're going. I don't think you exactly need to ask their permission since you are a legal adult and they can't physically stop you from going, right? But I think just to be safe and all, you do need to give them the heads-up that you're going. I have no idea what you can say to make them feel better about you going though.

Yeah, I know I have to tell them, I just dont want to deal with the argument I guess. That and the fact that if I go even though they dont want me to it could mean really baaaad news for our relationship. Poo
