Hey everyone!
I'm still feeling we need to keep on celebrating spirit, after all, we just went through 50 challenges together. So, this is a special challenge only for members who already submitted entries in a previous challenge here at
robin_icontest.
If you're new here (welcome!) or were just waiting for this challenge to start entering, don't give up on us, please! Stick around for this voting, because the next challenge will be for you!
Ok, so as I already mentioned, you need to have submitted icons in at least one of our previous 50 challenges. It doesn't matter if the icons placed or not.
The challenge is to go back and choose up to three of your previously made icons. And now, remake them! Sounds fun, right? It's been more than a year, so all of you have grown up as icon makers, learned new tricks and techniques here and there… This challenge is your chance to go back and do something you wouldn't have known how to at that time or just a chance to make something even prettier than the first time.
So, the main rule for this challenge is that you have to start with the same base(s) from the icon(s) you chose to remake. I understand you may not be able to find it again, but please use something similar (i.e., from the same scene or from the same photoshoot). Where you go from there it's up to you, there's no need to follow any specif rules I may have set for that previous challenge.
When submitting your icons, you have to submit both your previously made icon AND your remake icon. Please also include which challenge it was submitted to.
The rest of the rules are the usual ones:
+ You can remake up to three icons
+ LJ standards apply: max 100x100px, less than 40kb, .jpg, .png or .gif
+ Text, brushes, textures and stock images are allowed
+ Blending is allowed
+ The icons must be made for the challenge and kept anonymous until it ends
+ Comment to this post with your icon and the URL
+ Challenge ends on Saturday, 22th November, 8-10pm GMT
+ This week's special category will be Most Improved.
Current no. of entries: 10, from 4 participants
Any questions/comments/suggestions can be posted in a reply to this post, all comments will be screened. I'm very excited about this, so I really hope you enjoy and have fun!
