Oh no! Robin's being eaten by the Lost polar bear! 3goodtimes March 5 2010, 02:39:46 UTC
Oh my gosh, I love these! The color and the movement make them really fun to look at.

I think 'fella' beats 'chum' as my favorite old school Robin nickname.

Thanks for posting them.

you are very welcome. Yes, after reading these ...since I can remember, the new comics aren't so...appetizing to me because of the lack of color. :)

Fella. xD I know. I need to start using it fanfic wise, eh? xD

Wow.. that's compression at it's finest! Now that origin story would like 4 issues AT LEAST.

LOL The funny thing was when I was 11-12 and trying to draw my own comics I only knew what you see up there....and so when people told me I could expand it, I was like "o.O..really? But Batman doesn't do that"

The compression also makes it easier to throw in fanfiction plots. hahaha.

Yeh, sad isn't it? About the origin story. Though part of me still wants to see (minus Frank Miller's sorry attempt at ruining Batman) what it would look like expanded if someone did it the right way.

Awesome! I don't think I've ever seen Robin's original origin story!

REALLY?! WOW! I thought I was being silly posting it because it's all I've ever known for his origin. I was one of those strange kids that when I was allowed to watch Batman Forever (which, no pun intended took forever for the parents to allow that xD) it was like "o.O wait, Two Face didn't kill Robin's parents...um..'cuse me. This is wrong."

Well I'm glad I helped someone out! ^_^ YAY! *hug*

P.S Wanted to add this just because I just realized it myself, DICK WAS SEVEN when his parents died! ZOMG! :D How CUTE?!

Oh, well, I knew what his origin story was (yes, Batman Forever - WRONG! ha), but I didn't realize that I'd only read comic book re-tellings of the original story (BTW, Legends of the Dark Knight 100 is my favorite comic book issue ;)), and not the actual "primary source" material from the 1940s. So thank you!

I joined this comm YEARS ago but switched to other fandoms and haven't been watching, but I recently started watching again and I think it's AWESOME how you post so much Robin stuff and share the Robin love. Keep it up, with my encouragement :)

Also, Dick was a tiny wee Robin! Yes! It seems almost perverse to have a seven year old go through what he did and join up with Batman, but Dick is a tough little cookie.

Where does it say or imply in that how old he was? I don't see it?
