I've seen that in Germany and Belgium, but not in the UK: and then, there was only one person being a statue, not multiples. How very strange.

On that subject, when did MTV stop showing music videos?

I remember reading a book where one of the characters recommends setting living statues on fire as being able to stand still at that point was actually showing talent.

I remember seeing a number of people doing the "standing still in weird costume" busking in Barcelona back around summer 2000.

They're still there. Though, some of them were -really- impressive, even if it was just them standing still. The costumes and heat were enough to elicit a euro or two out of me.
