at GenCon

I got into GenCon a little early this year, in time to play some fun D&D before the con goes into full swing. I'm playing in RPGA games organized by Rob Watkins and his friends in the Bloody Mummers company. ha rob - reminds me of the bushido game where the first thing you did was break your sword under a rock and ran headlong into a campaign where the vast majority of the rulebook detailed the many ways to resolve mortal combat...

Back in reality.... Hi Ron! I believe those college days were my anti-roleplaying phase. I kept making characters who were even harder to get along with than I was. In Stonegrad's contemporary defense, he did manage to slay two of the three major villains at the end of the session, he'd been properly chastened and reduced his bluster to appropriate levels.

And speaking of college roleplaying days: I'm playing in Jeb Boyt's Saturday afternoon SavageWorlds Day After Ragnarok game!

hey it sounds awesome - I was playing until about 7 years ago... then i tried to play an indie rpg based on arabian nights and i was completely incapable of jumping on the plot. practice makes perfect - whatever perfect is in an rpg...
