Today, after trying to get out for the past two weeks on a Sunday, I finally went to the First Unitarian Universalist church . It's only a $5 cab ride from where I live. Once I get my disabled transit card I can use the door to door schedule-ahead short bus.

The sermon was on "Overcoming Obstacles, Detours and Setbacks on the Road to Our Dreams ( Read more... )

Hi Robert. I'm so glad you are feeling at home and sound so happy. I was afraid you would go through all this trouble of moving and then be disappointed when you got there. I wish you only the best.

Not at all! San Francisco is every bit as wonderful as I remember it. Everyone's been friendly and welcoming. The air itself smells good. I wake up every day so glad to be here.

I guess it's natural to think I might be disappointed after dreaming about coming back for so long. I wondered if I would too. Once I got here, that fear vanished.

I wasn't sure if I missed San Francisco that much or missed being 25 that much. It's the city - and it's real. Even the weather and its effects on my fibro came out better than I hoped.

Purr thank you! Today was hard, but I'll get past all the hard part. Most of it is temporary, I think.

It was! I love my church. It's fantastic. Next week I won't need to take a cab either - I found out which bus runs there and it goes right up to the church so it won't be too bad.
