Well, the art's not finished...

Lisa came over for our Thursday night art jam and we worked steadily for most of the evening together. I've got a pair of kestrels, male and female, on a card with a mottled green underpainting in the background and the male kestrel's about half done with colored pencil -- in exquisite detail. I really want to get intense with these on the detail. ( Read more... )

Ooh, pretty :)

I'm over here drawing too, that's kinda nifty, though accidental.
Have to say I feel the opposite about my sketchbook... I guess because I don't draw as often as I should, I get attached to mine, and am always sad when I fill one up. I find it a little bit intimidating having a completely blank sketchbook in front of me...
Hooray for organization, though! My art supplies are currently spread over the entire household. Oops.

It was very rare for me to finish a sketchbook. Usually I drew so rarely that I'd drag them through too many moves and need to butcher them to save what good drawings were in it when they got flood damaged or whatever. This time I actually used one completely, and that is a satisfying feeling.

I love new sketchbooks though, they are always inspiring. I bought a bunch of Canson Biggie pads and they are all sparkling bright white unused special drawing pads too. I may have to start the new sketchbook soon!
