No art on Friday, I got sick.

I didn't do anything yesterday. It was one of the days I felt too lousy to do anything. Today I'm hoping to work on my commissions and get something done, but I've also got a Nanowrimo get-together. The group here in Lawrence has been meeting monthly long after Nanowrimo and today I'm finally going to go, though I need to get up and shave and get ( Read more... )

As someone whose brain is occasionally in a fog for no apparent reason... I can sympathize with the stress it causes. Wish you lots of luck!! I'm sure you'll do fine, and hope you learn a lot of helpful stuff :)

I didn't go. I didn't make it to the bathroom to shave. When I got up to go to the bathroom to shave, my back whanged out and I staggered and I wobbled. I knew I wouldn't even manage staying on my feet long enough to shave, let alone go out... so I wrote an email to the group and begged off, explaining it's one of my bad days.

It gets really frustrating when I get one on a warm sunny bright day when it's beautiful and I'd otherwise have spring fever, when I really WANT to go out and am not up to making it up the steps to the door.

But my geraniums believe it's spring and are blooming. My wild geranium that usually only has one leaf has actually grown a second leaf. They are seizing the light and if to me the days are still too short, it's obvious that to them the added few minutes every day are yummy and appreciated.

If I can manage it next time I get up for the bathroom I'll go get them some water so they keep thriving.

aw, that's a bummer... but yay for spring :) I'm excited, with it being spring and all soon, I'm starting to plan some stuff for our garden this year, it's going to be really awesome.
Every year I am amazed too at how plants jump awake for spring, before I hardly even know it's here

Oh yeah. I love the spring. I love the summer too. It's when I start feeling more active again and can do more. I get many more of these "nothing" days in winter. Not that I'm the one doing the gardening, but maybe this year I can get outside and do more painting in the yard instead of just indoors.
