I was extremely lucky - my boss at the time was high bidder at a charity auction for a group package at the chateau. She told us (very small firm) that if we got ourselves over to France, she'd close the office and share the experience with us, which she did. Once in a lifetime experience for sure :)

What a seasonally-apt story! Ooh, calvados, you set the scene for me right there, before I even got to the description of the chateau, but I love that picture of all the modern cars under the old walls and can see it in my mind's eye.
