Love's Labours Lost me

I watched the 2000 version of Love's Labours Lost, and was not impressed. The concept seems sound enough: turn Shakespeare's play into a 1930s movie musical. That would have been OK if most of the cast could really sing and dance. Things also seemed a bit choppy, telling great chunks of plot in "newsreel" footage.

You didn't get the memo? Hollywood moviemaking is about what STARS will bring in the desired demographic, and has little to do with acting, singing or dancing.

BUt I still can't explain Silverstone.
