After a nice filling lunch of Poppyseed-chicken casserole, fried green tomatoes and strawberry cake, I wasn't really hungry until 9:00 tonight. That's the time that most restaurants close in this backwoods town. I really didn't feel like cooking anything, and didn't want a salad ( Read more... )

I only do Waffle House at 2 (or later) in the morning after leaving the bar and knowing I need food.

You passed on a chance to go to Waffle House? Now that's what I miss about the South. I love sitting at the counter so I can watch waitresses stand in their spot, call out the order and then watch the cooks get it all done.....magic. I'd give all the Krispy Kremes they've built here (well, at least the ones that are still open) for one Waffle House.
