i agree with your world cup synopsis.

the sycophants that creep out of the woodwork to "support" england in the world cup are same fuckwits that persist in shouting "come on tim!" after every rally at wimbledon.

every.

single.

year.

they are known as "twatriots", and there are many of them.

Football/Soccer fever: not in america? anonymous June 29 2006, 04:07:09 UTC
False! I live in Montreal and I've seen lots of flags in the front of houses and shops, as well as on cars. I've also seen a lot of people wearing football shirts. The main discussion topic of my friends and a lot of people I know is always football... football, football, football. Every day there's a little part of Montreal's La Presse dedicated to the results of the Mondial

Sorry for the "" I thought it would write the text in Italic.

I also want to add that there's a lot of Portugal and France supporters here, dont know why.

ha, no problem.

if you use the <> brackets it should work, here let me test:

I am writing in italics

Yes, it did work HUZZAH!

That's cool that the Montrealers are watching the footie. I remember when Greece won Euro 2000, there were Greek flags everywhere. Now if only Canada would qualify!

Thanks for reading the blog.

Yeah I think they will probably never qualify :( The only year they qualified was 1988 and they didn't last long.

The Canada soccer team sucks!

bittersweet about the oilers anonymous June 29 2006, 22:08:48 UTC
ROB!

I think it's bittersweet about the Oilers. Ya, I wanted them to win and get the Cup back to Canada, but deep, deep down inside, it would have been a hard pill to swallow being a Flames fan. Happy enough not to have Edm fans gloating (sorry, Lindy). See ya later, not-so City of Champions! Now all of Alberta can drown equally in our hockey woes.

BITTERSWEET?!

C'mon, Dano, you have to start cheering for a proper hockey team! It is obvious Lindy is the one with the brains in the Coulliard clan. :D
