to trip you up was not my intention at all. i just know how much you pride yourself on your factoid posts. ;)
there are no starchy delights in just potatoes. there is, however, a fat greasy lass spooning your processed topping of choice onto a hastily microwaved large potato and serving it in a styrofoam tray with a disinterested stare.
the first bite, as they say, is with the eye.
a baked potato as a meal is fine. you just need to be selective about the filling. chilli is where it's at....you can stick yer cottage cheese and baked beans up yer ronson. for an authentic taste of the exotic, try the baked potato van which (used to anyway) park near the pedestrian crossroads of the link, zara, back of town hall and barclays bank (or the alliance & leicester, i forget which). pretty good and cheap too.
extremely crotchety

Ah -- my favorite canuck in the yuk. That's what I call the U.K. The Yuk.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to be there. It's STILL FECKING SNOWING HERE in Ottawa. Yeah, I know. It's April the 15th and it's snowing (weeps quietly).
Your walk to work ROCKS. Try that when it's forty below. I love England for her walkability. I cannot believe people would rather drive than walk to work. Good for you. You need to walk when you are hunched over a keyboard doing Flash all day. Great post, thanks for going to the trouble of taking those pics and posting them.
I guess you can have nice weather in England

the only thing you got wrong is that just potatoes sells just baked potatoes, not chips.
which is much more unbelievably shit, incredibly.

You have caught me out once again, Mr Pete. I have yet to sample any of the starchy delights from Just Potatoes.
Having a baked potato as a complete meal is still quite a foreign concept to me.

Still jealous that you live in England, though.
