I am convinced that Renard is a monarch of some kind -- Tamer's "Your Highness" seemed a little too sincere to be written off as sarcasm -- or at least some kind of leader in the creature world. The religious aspect is really intriguing and makes me want to know what's going on behind the scenes. I love where they're going with this world-building; it looks epic.
