I'm thinking of just calling it Gonzo. It fits. I'm renaming my phone Cosmo (from Singin' in the Rain) because it's wacky and the cursor dances all over the place.

When in comes to the Puttin' on the Ritz, I've always liked this longer clip better because it almost seems in the beginning as if the cane is an actual dance partner to Astaire and that has a huge charme

When it comes to the song itself though, I will always love the Ella Fitzgerald version, but that one doesn't seem to be on youtube.

Also, dammit woman, will you stop posting irresitable dancing clips just when I have to go to bed. This is not conductive to my sleeping cycle.

I don't think I've ever heard Ella's version, only Fred and Young Frankenstein's versions. I am obviously missing out.

Oh my gosh, I remember having SO MANY shipping feelings while watching Singin' in the Rain, but I'm pretty sure I dismissed them, thinking nobody but me would be thinking about fic for such a 'dead' fandom. HOW WRONG I WAS. Thank you so much for this post, lovely!

I am lucky that one of my friends linked me to such superior fic for this fandom because I never would've found it on my own. I only wish there were more new stories being written at a breakneck speed, but I will settle for quality stories every few years if there's nothing else.

Hee! My mind went all 'splodey too the first time I saw there was Singin' in the Rain fic, but then the writers turned out to be amazing, and it all made sense. Now I can't live without it.

Ruby, I have been watching Fred and Gene dancing clips for days. The ones of Fred and Ginger dancing are my favorites.
