So between this picture and this picture, I ended up writing 7,000+ words about George Kirk and Christopher Pike fucking around in Las Vegas. I'd apologize for it, but quite frankly, there are not enough Vegas shenanigans in this fandom, so here's my humble contribution. Er, I hope it doesn't suck? *nerves

I have already told you how much I adore this fic and intend to elope with it, but I must comment because Hugh as April is looooooove. We need more Robert and Drake shenanigans with Chris and George. Like maybe they all served on at least one ship together and caused massive amounts of chaos. *innocent*

Oh but this was perfect in every conceivable way (Pike is a total GQMF and not even George Kirk can deny) ♥

And I'd like to second the need for more Chris+George+Robert+Drake bff dudebro antics. They're like Space Musketeers! Who get drunk and probably get arrested and deal with disciplinary charges a lot. BUT IT'S TOTALLY AWESOME (Don't frown like that Chris or your face will stick that way).

Also, may I just say that in spite of the deep seated love I have for all of your stories featuring Pike's and George's academy days, I have to admit that a small dark part of my heart sincerely hopes that one day you will write a story about Pike, Winona (and Sam and Jim by extension), Robert April, and whoever else you may want to add (Archer), and everything that happened in the days/weeks/months after George was killed during the Narada Incident. It's a terrible, dark, angsty desire but I hope nonetheless.

The actual April & George & Drake antics in the books are utterly wonderful and vibey, so adding Pike in there just added to the banter. I would totally love to write more about them because they are delightful rogues and I can't resist that.

Awwww, I wish I could write that post-George story, and who knows, maybe some day I will. Right now, though, I suck at angst and there's no story idea grabbing me, shaking me by the lapels, and making me write it.
