Just for the record, when I started writing the sequel to Burn These Bridges From The Other Side, it was not supposed to turn into a 13,200+ word retelling of the entire fucking movie. I don't even know what to do with myself some days, except headdesk endlessly ( Read more... )

I WAS HOPING YOU'D LIKE IT. I giggled writing it just because I was imagining your reaction to it. It's even better than I'd hoped for.

I haven't begun part 2 yet, but just had to tell you how thrilled I am with this so far.

and that last line is stellar!

Pike had better watch out, she thinks with a burgeoning lightness that wasn't there before, because she's coming for him, whether he's ready or not.

Okay so...I adore your Christine and Pike. They are so awesomely right for each other and matched in every way. And your sexy Pike makes me kind of melt into a puddle of goo. I love the fact that, because Christine doesn't show up in the first movie, talented authors such as yourself are taking her and just running with her, making her awesome and tough and able to hold her own with McCoy and Pike and Jim and be best friends with Uhura and that takes a pretty amazing person and you do such an awesome job with her here (uhm, excuse the run on sentence).

And also...I love your Kirk. I just love him and want to hug him and hang out with him and be buds because of...

Kirk comes up behind her and slings his arm around her shoulders in that casual, comforting way he has when he's not trying to be an obnoxious jackass.

This *points up*. This whole scene with Jim and Christine. Loved!

:D Your comment fills me with delight. I'm really enjoying writing Chapel and how she fits into the Reboot-verse, and I'm so glad that I'm getting it right. Thank you for saying all of the lovely things in your comment.

And oh, Jim. I adore him so much, it's almost ridiculous. *heartsplosion*

I'm so stunned and overwhelmed with the world you've built here, the tendersweettough interactions of the crew and the epic friends they will be, the flashes of humor (Spock, "ill"), the incredible truth that runs through it all like steel, making it near-indestructible.

Yeah.

Love this.

That is honestly one of the best compliments I've ever gotten because I rarely do this kind of detail, so finding out that it was done well and worked for you makes me happy and proud.

Thank you. :D
