Got The Chev Unstuck When The Dodge Showed Up.

So you know how that Corb Lund song goes about the truck getting stuck? Yeah. Replace 'truck' with 'van' and 'stuck' with 'trapped so deeply in the mud that it would take a winch and a goddamn miracle to get it out', and you'll know how my evening went. I spent an hour pushing and pulling and rocking the fucking thing, and it's still mired deep in ( Read more... )

Nooooo. Mud is so much worse than a snowbank, too, which is all I've had experience with. With a car, anyway. Tractor in the mud? Yeah, been there.

*hugs a lot*

Oh, man, I suppose we're lucky it's just a van, and not a tractor. The van is heavy enough that it keeps getting stuck every time we try to drive it out of the mud. Sigh.

*collapses on you*

Oh my. Poor thing. I agree with the song title in your current music section! Good luck with the car ickiness. Damn cars and mud. *booze and cuddly things and perhaps assorted cheeses?*

I CAN EXPLAIN. It's my brother-in-law's office van that he took from work to help carry a whole bunch of furniture that he and my sister bought for the house. It was the only vehicle big and long enough to hold all their stuff.

And just outside our house is all grass, and it's been raining steadily for two days, so when they drove onto the grass (to park the van closer to the house) to unload everything, they got stuck in the mud. We tried cat litter, but the van is heavy and the tires have no grip and it's going to be raining for the next three days, so short of a tow truck, I think we're screwed.

There was, but we just kept getting stuck, no matter what we did. So we finally called CAA in the morning. They refused to tow the truck, as did the complex we live in, so we had to get a professional towing company to haul the van out of the grass, and they charged us $135.00 to do it.

Sunday was ruined, Cee, which is just not right.

*hug* Poor honey. You might want to reverse today's schedule. Like push van out of mud first, then shower.

But to make you feel a little better, maybe, go here, and look at the cute Jeff, with the gayest scarf ever. *snuggle*

Sadly, I had to shower first thing because I wasn't gonna be home until the next day, due to the concert. And going one day without showering wasn't an option for me. :\

HEE JEFF OMG. I loff him so hard. ♥
