Okay, now, you need to watch this series. The BBC is releasing it on DVD, but thankfully, for those of us outside the UK, a very, very kind soul has uploaded the entire thing, in ten minute chunks, to You Tube. OMG - I thought this was amazing when it was shown on the Beeb. Hard to believe it was 14 years ago. It was made by BBC Scotland, which actually makes a lot of drama, and from memory I think the cast is entirely Scottish. David Tennant is absolutely marvellous in it - it's the first thing I ever saw him in, and I've been following his career ever since. It also stars Ken Stott (who is now a Big Name over here, although he wasn't at the time) and Katy Murphy, two more of my favourite actors. But the whole cast was just incredible.

Thanks for letting me know it's coming out on DVD - It's going on my 'must buy' list!

I'd buy the DVDs, too, if they were the right region. I hate this whole "region" thing. It's a pain. I'd give the BBC my money! I'd even pay in GBP. I'd even pay the shipping. But alas...

Yes, the region thing with DVDs is a pile of poo really. I can see the reasoning for movies (although I don't agree with it) but for ancient TV series like this, it's a pain in the arse. Which is why there's a big market for multi-region DVD palyers over here.
