I do want to do it in NaNo... I just kind of want to start writing before then, to get some glitches out. But I guess if I'm just prepping it wouldn't count as cheating. :] Did you end up finishing last year? I think I got to about 15,000 words... which I felt proud of, considering the craziness of my life at the time, haha.

I did reach the 50K word count in 3 weeks, but I didn't finish the actual story. I am so glad for NaNo to get the jump on writing it, but I've been thinking that maybe my NaNo story shouldn't be something I'm so invested in. I *love* my characters, and I want to get the story told. I have been rereading it because I want to continue writing on it (have to remember what I forgot..), but I will be writing a completely new one for this NaNo.

My story for this one involves the premise that angels are actually aliens from another planet who pass through "doors" from their world into ours. I'm going for rollicking sci-fi adventure with a side of possible conspiracy theory. And I plan on just writing lots and having fun, and hopefully telling a complete story. I still haven't told a complete story of my own that wasn't somewhere based in fan fiction. (Though I did complete a 52K fan fiction last October in preparation for NaNo.)

If you love your characters that much, all the better to use that story for NaNo, right? I mean, then at least you will have plenty of passion about it... not that you wouldn't anyway... but hopefully you know what I mean. :]

Oooh! But I like your new idea, that sounds awesome! I'm excited. I'm using my idea for NaNo too, so I hope it works out for us!!
