Bill is not usually tired at this hour.

But neither does Bill usually handle multiple presentations, as well as sitting on so many conference panels. To be quite honest, he figures he has a right to be tired; at the moment, he feels like the walking dead... and rather looks it, too.

So, while he slouches and shuffles his way out of the Silph Co. building and onto the street, stamping his feet to encourage life back into them -- well, Bebe will probably notice him before he notices her.

It takes Bebe just a bit too long to spot Bill; by the time she tries to catch his attention, he's already out the door. Frustrated (more with herself than anything; she never should have stopped to play with her new PNG), she pushes her way into the crowd and out the doors, squinting through the dark and toward the buttery cones of light to either side, looking for Bill.

It is just as a rather mischievous Haunter surreptitiously attaches himself to the good researcher's back that Bebe sees her old friend and calls out to him, slinging her bag tighter under her arm and running to catch up in her uncomfortable, rarely-worn heels. "Hey, Bill! Hold on, wa-- oh god my ankle --w-wait up!"

Bill is not aware that he is being followed -- by either woman or ghost. Shuffling along, like a zombie, he thinks zombie thoughts -- how much he would like to get home and fall into bed (the same bed in the same room that he grew up in, which made falling asleep much, MUCH easier), perhaps even without kicking off his shoes or, really, doing much more than dropping his briefcase and his books at the foot of the stairs... eating homemade breakfast tomorrow morning, cooked with love by his mother... helping Dad out in the garage with that new PC he's cobbling together --

And quite before he realizes what's happening, Bebe is shouting for him and chills slide, slick and cold, up and down his spine -- his mother would say a Farfetch'd is walking over his grave, but Bill doesn't think so, he thinks that he's just walked over his own grave -- and he does what any brave researcher would do, in his position:

He yelps and mewls and falls over, like a frightened little girl.
