Erika, resuming her gym leader duties, was waiting at the far end of the gym, with her Tangela, who seemed to be dozing off in the sunlight. During the Winter, visits had been rare; maybe it was simply because of the fact that the weather was too cold for anyone to travel in. Either way, she would be receiving a challenger, and as any trainer would be, she was excited.

The gym was a maze, filled with flowers, plants, and pillars that certainly provided obstacles. There would be trainers hidden in certain hedges where the view was more obscured, but you could see the gym leader at the very far end, smiling, and bowing. "Welcome!" And that's all she said. Ready to take the challenge?

Wally smiled back before he turned his attention to the maze before him, ready to take the challenge before him. Ah, so he had to work his way through the maze to get to the Gym Leader...well, at least it didn't involve digging through trash again, right? So he soon preceded to walk through the arch that stood before him, walking forward until--oh, no, that's a dead-end, looks like he'll have to go this way...

The first trainer that approached him from a hedge was a bit of a shock, but once he was ready, he proceeded to use one of his own grass-type Pokemon, a Roserade, against the first gym trainer's Pokemon. With a well-placed Sludge Bomb here and there, he was able to proceed onward without too much trouble--once he managed to avoid walking straight into a pillar, of course. Hmm...now which way should he go next that would help lead to the Gym Leader...

The gym leader watched from the far end, her eyes taking note of the trainer's battle style. Almost shouting a warning when he looked like he was about to crash in to the pillar, she held her words back - after all, no one was hurt. It shouldn't take Wally too long to reach her at the far end of the gym, she decided, as she watched the other approach the exit without too much difficulty, except for the occasional trainer battles.

Beside her was a Tangela, who didn't seem quite as eager as her trainer, but all the same, watched-- or more like glanced over at the green haired trainer, stared at herself in a small puddle created by the morning's plant watering, then glanced over at the trainer some more. Hopefully Wally didn't find that too creepy

Wally was likely a bit too preoccupied making his way through the maze and trainer battles he encountered to notice the possibly creepiness of the Tangela, but soon, after another few battles, Wally had soon managed to find his way through the maze, and before he knew it, (once he had thought to use a potion or two for any Pokemon used in his trainer battles) he had finally reached the Gym Leader that waited at the end.

"Ah, hello Miss Erika." He smiled, hoping she was as ready for the battle as he was. After this, if he won, it meant he would have finally collected all the badges in Kanto, and would be able to go to Victory Road. "I'm ready for our battle when you are."
